a social days fishing

had a nice day yesterday,i went with 2 or 3 neighbours to my local match lake for the day,the place is absolutely crammed with fish and we expected to bag up,
but as usual when i turn up we found it very quiet,
we could have caught roach and perch all day but thats not my cup of tea,
my friends caught a couple of small commons of about a pound but not much else,i was sitting there on a blank, didn't even have a twitch,
with half an hour to go my popped up tutti frutti boilie shot off and i was rewarded with a nice leather carp of about 7lb ,it gave a very good account for itself ,
didn't weigh it properly as i had already started to pack up,just goes to show, you have to keep going right up to the end
i'm trying to send you the picture richard but i'm having a spot of bother with my e-mails at the moment
