2 hour river

I decided at 3 this afternoon that my days post-exams are spent in front of either computer or book, decided to go fishing instead, got 4 slices of kingsmill bread, my 6' shimano spinning rod, reel loaded with 6lb mono/fluoro cross, size 14 hook and a 4lb hooklength.
The result being 3 chub for 8.5lb (3lb, 3lb, 2.5lb) and various chubblets and roach for about 2lb in 2 hours.
freelining bread on a sunny afternoon cant beat it, especialy when followed by a nice ice cold

Re: 2 hour river

I'd be well happy if my river held a 5lb bream, apparently they used to but all the brown carp, bream and tench have died off in the last 20 years :'(
