| Cobbleacre 48 hour session (24th-26th June) Arrived at the lake Friday afternoon around 4:30pm and were set up on Mario's Lake for 5. Here's a pic of my swim: ![]() Baits were cast out, and just as the bivvies were up it started raining, which I imagined would get the fish going after a dry, hot week. Nothing happening, although the odd big fish was topping. A quiet night, and we were woken at 4am by the guys in a swim next to me, 2 runs at the same time, they landed 1 at 26lb 2oz, and lost the other in some lillies. I had a liner (which at the time thought was a run) hit it, and up came this massive old fish, but no resistance on the rod, I was shaking like a leaf ![]() I could have stayed there for a week, but we had to move to Adam's Lake for the 2nd night. ![]() Before I'd even got my rods in the water, Chris had 3 runs, losing 1, landing 2 (mirrors of 3 and 6lb.) ![]() The day went on getting the odd run and fish (all small mirrors) ![]() Chris had a common and mirror during the night, and a few more today. Total was 9 carp, and loads of little roach and perch. I managed to fall in the lake twice (steep banks) ![]() Anyway, a fun time and I fished for free as Chris's parents paid for me, so I can't complain __________________ Dan `·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ Big or small, look after them all! ¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º> |
