up at 3 - again !

another 3 o'clock start,at least it was worth it this time,

got to the river just before 4,
started by trotting small bits of luncheon meat,fist 2 bites got me an 8oz barbel and a 2lb chub,
i then lost another chub of similar size and that totally killed the swim,
ended up moving on and only managed some dace and gudgeon after that,

unfortunately it was too dark to get a picture of the barbel and chub for the species comp ,i suppose one point is better than none,

picture of one of the dace will be with you shortly richard

it was lovely,not a car on the road,not another person in sight,
i was home by 8 to do the school run,before it warmed up too much,i recommend it to anyone.

yes mate,you're right there,it's only a shame that i couldn't get any photos,it was 04.30 and only half light,the old digi camera just wouldn't work,it hasn't got a flash on it,
i hope to get another barbel and chub later on this year and claim the xtra half a point for the photo.
