Cool Bristol Docks and Plantation Lakes today

Hi Guys,

Well it was an early start today, had to be in the Centre of Bristol for around Dawn.....for the Bream. Yes Bream....the River Avon runs into the Docks near the City Centre and I have a secret peg that a freind told me about Always Bream there he said.

Well I baited the swim with 1kg of 4mm trout pelletts and a couple of handfuls of Pineapple flavour sweetcorn. Tackled up with a running ledger and corn on the hook 1oz lead!

After about 45 minutes....bingo a nice plump Bronze Bream came to the net,

but what a stretch cos the wall was circa 10 feet from the water.... Just to test my theory I cast again to the mark and another one came to the net. Case proved it was time to move on before the shoppers arived!!

So I set off for Plantaion Lakes in deepest Somerset..........................

Target for the day was Perch and Tench....sadly the Tench didn't play ball but I had sone good fishing on the waggler using chopped worms, casters, sweetcorn. Taking skimmer Bream, Roach and Perch.

Nice comfortable fishing and a lovely day weather wise Perrrfec!

And back home in time for Lunch!
