| 1st trip this year. River Mole tomorrow Having a day by the River Mole tomorrow. Going with a mate, I'm targeting a nice chub, but will try for others too. The cheese paste, maggots and bread are ready. Report tomorrow night whether or not I catch something. Probably not      |

| Re: 1st trip this year. River Mole tomorrow   Well we came, we saw, we blanked It was so flippin' cold today neither of us got a bite let alone land a fish. It was on a par with the winter session I once did with Pingu at Bury Hill. The wind chill jarred me to the bones. Brrr. As always I take something positive from any fishing trip and it was great to walk along the river picking out spots for future sessions. After a few hours, we decided to pack up and head for the club lake. No luck there neither. At 14:30 I decided enough was enough, got into my warm car and headed home. Give it a few weeks and I'll be back on the river when it warms up a bit. |

You checked out the river for future swims and turned a blank in to a positive. Good lesson that. You had a go mate, and that's what counts. If all we ever do is learn one new thing every time then we get better. Hard lines on the blank, lost count of the times I've done just that.
