Trot Lines on the Mississippi

We set trot lines last Friday (April 1st) back in a bay off the Mississippi... Haven't done so hot. Every day we've caught a total of three fish (catfish). Today when we ran them we had three, but we threw one back- it was a carp. Don't like carp much.
The river has been rising for the past week or so... That cold water is shutting off all the fish back in the bay.
Been keeping them all in a few live baskets... Filleted them out this afternoon. Maybe had a total of 10lbs after they were all cut.
Had a pretty even mix of Blues and Channel. Had two Bullheads also- Probably both half a pound or less... It'l be gettin better here pretty soon...
