Upper Kennet Chub Fest - 24/1/12.

I did write a report last night, but alas, my PC decided to freeze as I hit the post button, so this time I'll shorten it.

Waggler fished 2 red maggots, fed 6 red/white maggots every minute religiously thoughout the session.

Location: Stretch of Upper Kennet above Barton Court.

Conditions: Water slightly up on previous weeks and slightly coloured.

First cast a dropped a Chub and thought thats that then, normally the whole shoal spooks, but not this time, it was quite literally a bite a cast, missed a lot but managed the following:
6 Chub from 2lb 7ozs to 5lbs 2ozs

5lbs 2ozs Chub

Battle worn and humbacked 4lbs 13oz Chub

2 Brown Trout, both about 2lb each.

1 Rainbow Trout, again about 2lb.

Sorry about the shortness of the report, but after last nights hour long marathon on the keyboard writing the original report and then losing it, I think I will wait until I have a decent broadband connection before submitting big reports again.

A five and a half poud fish is good going. well done, great result !

Cheers Jason, they go to well over 7lb in there, the bailiff reckons he's seen a couple that could well be into the 8lb bracket, next trip he said he's gonna put me onto the big Perch again
