Blanking on the Stour. Saturday I went for a couple of hours maggot drowing on the local BAA section of the river Stour. To cut a short story even shorter I blanked. Not evena nibble which is unusual for the swim I was in as it's normally pretty reliable. The river has been very low for weeks now and itwas at 4 degrees. Ho hum. Nearly jumped in to the river when a guy who was pike angling on the canal came for a mosey on down. Just didn't hear him till he said hello. Glad I wasn't having a crafty p :) Next time. No I mean I'll catch not get caught having a pee. __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk Last edited by barbelblanker; 01-15-2012 at 12:46 PM.

Re: Blanking on the Stour. Mike, I suspect stapling your own lips to the backside of flatulant cow would be better than Eastenders :) __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk

Re: Blanking on the Stour. It hasn't budged depth wise in weeks has it ? I suspect I may need to find where the roach are on the BAA stretch, they don't seem to be where they usually are. It's just such a lovely little river to run a stick down and get some centrepin time in. Nice one on the chub. You fishing down Kiddy town still? __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk

Re: Blanking on the Stour. Would rather be on the bank anyday. Blank or not. I had 3 blank trips to the Tees before last weeks session finally yielded me some fish. Your sat concentrating on your fishing in a world of your own and all of a sudden 'CAUGHT OWT' MATE' and your thinking this, guys come from nowhere - It's nearly made me jump out of my skin on a few occasions.

Re: Blanking on the Stour. Too right Chris...some of these bankside conversationalists seem to sneak up without a sound. If they were muggers they would be very good at their jobs!!
