If thats a 2 litre bottle, it must be a very good size perch! As Matt Hayes would say

on my kids lifes ,yes it is a 2 litre bottle ,of dare i say it ginger beer ,and is genuine ,i must say im a bit dissapointed with the lukewarm reception my perch has recieved ,im currently tring to get my fishing buddy to email me some more pics that he took so maybe then it will get its credit ,then im going to upload some proper pics ,many thanks Dave

Fishydave - been on ULTIMATE BASS RESOURCE GUIDE on line (which of course perch are a species)
The approx' weight according to thier calculator is :-

Length 13" (length of a 2litre pop bottle) & girth of 16" = 2.6lb

Length 13" & girth of 18" = near as damn it 3lb

Of course i've guestimated the girths - might be a good idea to nick a tape measure from the wife (mines give up using hers ) if you're not that keen on buying some scales.

thanks mate ,im a chippy by trade ,and allways over-estimate my sizes!! However lake keeper states there is a 5lb perch in the waters ,i think this maybe it ,however as long as it was it didnt feel that heavy (maybe when spawing it would be a diffrent story) hey i dont care ,i dont think ill ever catch anything close to her again , and long may she live !!
