| Went & fished at one of the Warminster club lakes yesterday. Berkley lake is an old estate lake about 5 minutes drive from my house. As it's a fairly long walk from the car park to the lake, it never gets over fished. Theres no massive fish in there due to a fish kill some years ago (Farm slurry) but it has a good head of Carp, roach, rudd & a few perch & tench. The carp average between 3 - 5lb with the occasional fish up to around the 10lb mark. I arrived around mid morning to discover that I had the whole lake to myself. I traveled light & only took a couple of quivertip rods & some terminal tackle. I set up a method feeder rig, with a 3" 4lb hook link & 6lb mainline & 30g feeder. The feeder was filled with moist micro pellets & a few pieces of sweetcorn. Hook bait was sweetcorn or sweetcorn / maggot cocktail. I started catching right from the off with nice hard fighting common carp & the occasional mirror all between 1.5 - 6lb ![]() I finally gave up at sunset having used two kilos of pellet, two tins of corn & a pint of maggot for a fish a chuck. A great days autumn fishing. ![]() __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |

| Re: A busy day at Berkley Well done, what a session mate! I've also been bewitched by the feeder method recently, it's awesome for carp. |
