| October/November Review As some already know i'm going to do a review every month or so now that time is limited, i have got a spare bit now to report on the past months exploits! I'm going to keep it brief cause im fed up staring at my computer screen tonight ![]() I thought seeing as i have to get the train up to uni i'd carry some light tackle with me and the lightest i had was my fly gear, so up it went and all i had to do was look for a fishery and to my delight there was one around 4 miles away... just within walking distance! I wasnt expecting anything special as im by no means a fly fishing expert, i managed 2 trout, they were my first 2 fish on a dry fly, nothing else seemed to work! I apologise in advance for the orientation on the photos. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That was that week sorted for me! The next week i headed back and had another good day, catching around half a dozen rainbows to 5lbs. I kept 2 for dinner and as far as trout go they were nice! ![]() The weekend after i was back to what i know best, piking!! It was a frantic session at the usual haunt, fishing from 6 until... we rain out of bait at 11ishWe had over 10 pike with the biggest over 10lbs, we even had 2 pike on the bank at once at some stages which isnt ideal as you can imagine! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() NEXT... was a new experience for me... beach casting! We were after bass but they werent playing ball and arent too plentiful on the coastline we were fishing, we did however manage a few doggies and couple of flatties, no fish pics as everything was all abit dark! ![]() ![]() Was an enjoyable night and something that i'll be trying again. Believe it or not there is more fishing! Yesterday we managed to get out for a longer session, from 5am to 5pm and enjoyed a great fun days sport. We brought the boat with us to try out as well for extra fun ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Had over half a dozen pike, nothing big but was a great days fun. Hopefully i'll have a similar fish filled report next month! Sorry for the rushed nature of the review but it summarises everything!
