Fishing my local park lake this afternoon

Down at my local park lake today got a carp rod out on the bite alarm on spicy sausage boilie and rubber lure fishing for perch and pike hopefully ill catch : ) (overcast,slight drizzle and a mild slight breeze,decent conditions i reckon)

Bloody hell did you come away with all your kit ?? last time i fished there i had my fishing licence nicked (little bas****ds) did have about 8 carp nothing big all around the 6-8lb but that was 18yrs ago lol........up in the tackle shop he has a photo of an 18lb carp out last christmas..he may be more help.

Im local mate so no prob with stuff being stolen ive had carp too 20 lb this year its a decent lake and these days ull have no trouble over their that generation have moved on free fishing too through the winter (bring ure license) : )

i was fishing for perch the other day. was using red maggot but only had a limited supply left over from a previous session. didnt have any luck on those at all. after about an hour with no bites i decided to try find a few worms. so i dug a small hole near the banking with my knife and grabbed about 5-6 worms. i cut the worms in half so they would smell a bit bloodier in the water and stuck half on the hook each time i re-baited. over the next hour i had 4 perch in the net and throughout the rest of the day i managed to bag 10. all perch wich is what i was targetting so was very happy with that. they certainly love worms.
