soggy sunday

well just my luck, planned to go yesterday, put it off until today and the heavens opened all day,the wind was a chilly north - easterly and we froze.

took the kids with me and were first at the lake,(it opens at seven ),
it was grey and misty, but it was like that yesterday first thing and it turned out lovely,
just got everything set up and it started raining,it more or less did'nt stop after that.
i had a few liners and twitches, just had the one take,it was a very nice common of about 4lbs,caught it on a popped up strawberry pellet,i had put a cart load of them round the hook with some PVA on a stringer.
kids caught zilch, they like to tiddler snatch and got very few bites.

packed up early with borderline hyperthermia and two fed up soggy kids.

the worse part of the day was the rain somehow getting under my brolly while i was landing the fish and all my bloody pva went and dissolved,
expensive stuff that .

so much for spring .

Re: soggy sunday

Unlucky Paul, but atleast you caught something!

Shame about the pva bags, they certainly are expensive and for them to melt before using them must have been well annoying!!
