Cheers fellas, i'm looking at my uni timetable trying to squeeze in as much fishing as possible... all i'm saying is that it will certainly be a challenge!

(or so he tells me) is it? Your jacket`s on a shakey nail, one more and it`s a red card for you my man lol. You not doing much fishing lately Baz? Rivers are sky high up here with the constant rain, even the fish are wearing waterproofs. Only 5 days left for trout fishing, 27 days to the end of the river season, feels like it`s passed us by this year.

Good luck at uni mate, what are you studying?

If my experiences are anything to go by it will do you good to find time to get out and clear your head with a bit of fishing. My course (building Surveying) is very technical and demanding but I managed to fish a fair bit in the first year and still get the averages needed for the equivelent of a 1st. Was a little harder last year, I had to pick my days off wisely to not effect my studies but now that I'm in the 3rd and final year its nigh on impossible to take time out without feeling guilty and im in the second week!!

Anyway moral of the story is you need a sensible work/life balance, make sure you leave enough time for the social side of things, I wish i'd done it when I was younger to take full advantage !!

I'm going to the University of Ulster, its only an hour and a bit away from home so i will be home at weekends, to do as much fishing as i can fit in! Roll on the Christmas break for some piking sessions, lets hope the ice stays away this year!

I'm studying Geography, its a 3 year course with the option for a year abroad or placement. I reckon i'll just get the 3 years done and dusted and that will do me!
