Well, went to Reepham today. Weather was nice, overcast, no wind and around 17C.

Arrived at 8:30am and we both set up 2 ledger rods, I had source boilie on 1 and esteberry boilie on the other rod, my mate banana on 1, strawberry on the other.

Nothing happened until around 10am when carp started feeding on the surface, I hooked 2....lost 2.

My mate caught the 1st fish, a fantail of 1lb 8oz on sweetcorn.

A minute later I caught a fantail too, this time slightly bigger at 1lb 10oz and on prawn and squid flavoured meat.

My mate got a run on his source boilies, the result a 4lb mirror (almost a linear)

I then caught a mirror carp of 3lb on halibut flavoured boilies:

Next fish was a cracker, a screamer on source boilies and a new pb for me at 15lb 2oz

Would you say it was a ghostie, or common???

The last fish fell to my mate a 6lb 8oz common on a tiny piece of meat on 4lb line.

nice report, good job on the carp. I'd never seen a fantail before, it looks like a hybrid between a panfish, a carp, and a goldfish:)

Damage, I believe the fantails we catch at Reepham are crossed with crucian carp, do you get them in America?
