| Quick points at the nature reserve Had a spare afternoon or two whilst being back up at home, so i thought why not grab half a pint of maggots, a temporary rod licence (law abiding citizen or what? ) and get down to the local pond.As always, it had a couple of rapscallions trying to foul hook spawning carp in the shallows (but they were large, muscular and had the numbers advantage, so i kept quiet on this occasion) But looking past that, the fish were rising and there was fun to be had. Took charlotte (girlfriend) along to try and show her the ropes as well for a nice afternoon. Pretty active session, landing rudd and roach pretty much one-per-cast, with a lovely little surprise of a mini-perch thrown in for good measure. So, thats 4.5 points please :) (i uploaded the best pic of a roach i had, hope the species police will accept it , the top lip has been torn off by aforementioned rapscallions striking as if they're laying into a 30lb conger on a wreck 100m down, hence the apparent prominent underbite)Typical Rudd, ![]() Roach, ![]() and a cocky little Perch. ![]() ![]() __________________ "Alright Jack, we all ready to fish?"
