| Great first session:) Well dispite the weather, which was a bit wet at times it was a good first session for a few years and i still have the touch  I tryed out my new centrepin and rod etc that i got last week, i am well impressed with the reel, i fished the lift method all day except when i got the fish taking of the surface on large flake. The pin is great for feeding line and fiddlig the float on the lift, a lot better control than with a fixed spool, cant wiat ti try a river out in the next session, more likely be on the ribble if i can find a day ticket stretch. First fish a small Tench  But they got bigger :)  A few carp also and a chub were also caught inbetween, no pics of the chub though, about a 2 ld`er   I got this one of the top on a large`ish piece of bread, my most favourite method i think, get the heart pumping good style  I missed/lost some big carp as i was still getting used to the C`pin, a lot different from using a drag on a fixed spool, go like dam trains. I would of stayed but my mate had to be home for 2pm, but we were there from 4:30am, feel a bit tired now, so to get over it i mite pop to another local lodge for a few hours tonight     |

| Re: Great first session:) Thanks guys , i am tempted to go again today, but skint  .The only bad bit was about the ghost carp, its a good double figure one, i have been trying to get it for years, very wary carp that one, when i got them feeding of the top i couldnt believe my luck when it showed, and feeding, that was the good bit until it taken my bate, but it was one of them havin a quick brew, i hooked it but wasnt quick enough and it headed for the other side of Lancashire  . |
