| Some decent fishing,at last! Hi, After not been able to fish for a while and having blanked the last two times,I am happy to share last Sundays sport. Not being an early bird it was around 8.30am before my end tackle was in the water.Fishing with a running ledger baited,one with honey flavored home made boilie on one and crab pellets on the other I waited with all the usual expectations. Less than an hour later,my alarm on the honey baited rod started to "twitch" this continued for some time before I say to my wife,I will start again as I am fed up with the small fish fiddling around. Imagine my delight when I found that there sat a nice fish hooked without even moving off.It gave little resistance so I thought it was a Bream but no,it was a beautiful Tench weighing just on 9lb.! Re-setting the rod,another Tench of 7.5lb.came to the net within another hour,this one fought just like a Common Carp,in stark contrast to the first Tench.After this the wind dropped completely, it became hot and sticky and the fish stopped biting.Still I was quite happy with my catches.
