Tench Wed 15th 2011

I think this is my first attempt with a catch report so please bare with me.
I decided last minute i was gonna have a few hours out on the local tarn. I went and grabbed a pint of maggots and managed to be set up and fishing around mid day. I fished a large maggot feeder about 30 yrds out to get past the weed into deeper water looking for some bald patches on the lake bed.
After an hour or so i started getting the bites, all cracking bites on the quiver.



The result was my best days tench fishing ever. To be honest i wasnt targeting tench, they were just there. luck plays a massive part sometimes and i think i was just at the right place at the right time.

I must of lost 6-7 fish one the way back in hitting the wall of weed as the lake shelves up to shallower water.
No complaints from me though, i wont forget that day for a long time.
