| Quick session on the Staffs Worcester. This is a really short report as although I caught a few it was nothing special. The reason I'm posting is that I realised I had fallen in to a trap of always using maggots on the canal. I was catching but it was gonks and a few other fish. Now I am not running down the gudgeon , I jsut don't want to spend hours catching them, though I'd rather catch them than stay indoors doing something pointless like listening to Cardiff City fail yet again to reach the premiership. I was about to pack up when the bloke who I'd been watching catch a few wondered over and we had a VERY informative chat. Needless to say I now have a new task on this stretch of the canal and maggots might just be getting put away for a while. I can't believ I had become blinkered in to using maggots all the time . I did that years ago and got over it so how come I repeated the same mistake ? Ah well! Of course I'll share the results. Now all I need to do is wait the now unbearable two more weeks to find if I'll be tench fishing or getting creative on the canal.
