| Re: Grass Carp Not much to report really. Fished the bottom lake. Set one rod up with hair rigged sweetcorn & the other with popped up breadcrust 6" off the bottom. Had a couple of bleeps on the sweetcorn. Not sure if it was a liner or a fish mouthing the bait. Loose fed a few pinches of bread flake & a handfull of corn over a couple of handfulls of micro pellet. Fished for about 3 hours until it was almost dark. Nice evening though with lots of wildlife to watch. Only problem was that the fifty or so resident ducks & geese are rapidly getting used to free helpings of bread & bait...  These lakes have only recently opened for fishing & the fish are not yet used to food other than what they find naturally. I've heard reports of two fish being caught, one at 30lb & one at 33lb.   __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |
