Ash Fishery, Somerset.

After reading a post about this fishery, (on another forum I frequent,) I decided to try for a good fish.
Hearing that the lake stocks Carp nudging 30lb and over, I was hoping for a new PB.
Approach to the fishery is via a mile long very bumpy long gravel track, which my Transit racking didn't like much. This opened out on to the lakes.
The bailiff stays on site, so payment is easy. £5.00 for 12 hrs. £10.00 for 24 hrs. £3.00 for evening.
There is a clean working toilet on site, with hand washing also.

I set up on the second lake, which has large carp as well as plentiful silver fish and Tench, Bream etc.

Fishing with method feeder and 12mm pellet, on one rod, with 20mm pellet on the other, I fished my socks off.
Until this:

The rain poured for a lot of the day and the runs keep coming. Unfortunately the bigger fish were not feeding.
Luckily the wind dropped and the rain stopped. I noticed another angler threw in a handful of dog biscuit, which the fish started to feed heavily on.
I reeled in both rods and set up with Enterprise Tackles fake dog biscuit on an ESP size 10 hook, with fluorocarbon tippet.

Then the fishing went crazy.

Fish after fish....

This was the biggest, around the 13lb mark.

So... After a hard bottom fishing morning, the afternoon was brilliant.
Roughly twenty fish landed. (not all on camera)

Still didn't get my PB but had a good day on an exciting complex.

Fantastic effort Elloit. Not bad considering you were telling me at 3pm it was quite.

Love fishing for them on dog biscuit.

Re: Ash Fishery, Somerset.

Is the track entrance by some stables in Ash? Is it possible to park in the village and walk? or would that be a major trek?

Re: Ash Fishery, Somerset.

Yes, its right next to a stable.

You could walk it, but its about a mile long track. Manageable if you travel light.
If you drive slow its fine, just a little frustrating.
