| for the points, the goby desert fished a local day ticket water today called marshside near herne bay, went on to the match lake, called scroggins i think this was a bit of a shake down session after 6 months of piking, well the forecast was very wrong,it was supposed to be mild with the odd sunny spell,we didnt see the sun all day and as i pulled up at the lake the temperature was minus 0.5 ,that sure put the fish down and bites were hard to find, eventually after many tackle changes i started getting a few bites on double maggot on the float gear, it was gobies all the way, couldnt get through them for the first couple of hours ![]() until the odd roach started appearing ![]() soon after that things improved somewhat with a skimmer bream ![]() closely followed by a mystery carp,i'm not very knowledgable about all the carp strains, this looked like a small common but with a definate blue tinge to the scales,a blue orfe perhaps ?? can anyone help ? ![]() fishing tailed off after that with gudgeon taking over once more, it was enjoyable session but a cold one, hurry up spring i need to fish in the warmer water for a while |
