| Things are picking up Went to my usual river spot today and had a cracking session. Had 5 good size roach, a 2lb bream and a 3lb common. The carp was as fat as he was long, infact it was that fat it's scales were bulging out...  Had loads of knocks and definatly a few runs that got away, tried flavoured corn, no good ! Boiliesn no good ! Maggots, spot on. it was a calm sunny day and very relaxing, looks like the fish are starting to nibble again.. __________________ I snagged.., 5lb tench, 25.3lb common, 16.4lb mirror , 2.2lb roach, 4 lb chub and 10lb Ghost.     |

| Re: Things are picking up Nice session, to be honest when i heard that the scales were bulging out i immediately thought to myself that it could be a disease called 'Dropsy' and after seeing the photo of it i am more confident that it is in fact the disease 'dropsy'.
