Where to fish in North Kent

I am taking my Godson (4) fishing for the first time having given him a rod for christmas. I am after a dayticket lake/river/canal teeming with fish where he will definately catch and get hooked on fishing. Originally from Bristol i dont know the local fishing very well and am after a bit of adivice. Any suggestions?
