Tiverton Canal Sunday 16th Jan

After fishing the Exeter Canal in the week with no success I fancied a fish today and thought I would try Tivvy Canal, I travelled light with my 2 deadbait rods, a bag with all the bits/bait and landing net and mat. My plan was to get away from all the access points where everybody just turns up and fishes. Didnt have any joy in the first couple of spots.

But in the second spot I chose I had 4 fish over 2 hours and in about 400 yards!

I had fish of 3lb, 4lb, 6lb, culminating in a fish of 11lb 5oz

I also had 2 missed runs and a fish of about 4lb that spat the bait out.
Well worth the walk and I was finished and sat in the pub by 3 o Clock
A sunday well spent.

Nice one Ian. Good to get a couple of pike on the bank, well done. I will be giving Tiv canal a go sometime this year and will give you a shout if/when I decide to come up.
