Went to gold valley yesterday and fished the gold lake, 5 of us had 9 rods out and i was the only one to put a bend in the rods, , first was a beat up 15lb common, didnt put up any fight till it was under the rod tip.
next a lovely looking 8lb common, then not a thing for hours , changed tactics and with an hour to go hooked into a 10lb mirror, felt alot more playing it, good days fishing really, few people fishing there and noone had anything , so i must of been doing something right .
got to take the piss and gloat all the way home
