| Secret spot Hi all, I was fishing yesterday and a local hunter/fishernman came for a chat. Really nice helpful and informative fella despite the rifle and bloodied rabbit. Told me about a very secluded and quiet spot near the arse end of nowhere. I am gonna go and check it out tomorrow for accessability, activity and might even bait it up abit. He even told be best catching methods. I'ts a short stretch of untouched narrow river that hold rather large wild carp. He went in the autumn with the local fishery bailiff, they lost 2 really stong fish that straightened their hooks... ![]() will check it out tomorrow with a view of setting up for the day on thursday. hopefully, watch this space..... __________________ I snagged.., 5lb tench, 25.3lb common, 16.4lb mirror , 2.2lb roach, 4 lb chub and 10lb Ghost. |

| Re: Secret spot it is a good spot, found it ok. its at the arse end of nowhere and left a bit. Fished it for a couple of hours, no bites but a couple of line knocks and a fish jumped in front of me.. lovely stretch of river... really looking forward to going there in the spring. contemplating trying again on thursday, not sure what bait to use though as its winter and unfished... ![]() __________________ I snagged.., 5lb tench, 25.3lb common, 16.4lb mirror , 2.2lb roach, 4 lb chub and 10lb Ghost. |
