it was 9c today and not a sniff of wind... good conditions. bloke in the next swim caught a 3.5lb bream.

ok to answer your Q's, Fished at Bax Farm Fishery in Sittingbourne. they have a website and worth a visit if your ever down this way. Welcome to crash at mine if anyone fancies a weekend of it.

bait was a bit cheeky, four red maggots on a hair rig hook and a flo yellow pop up boilie on the hair.

it's a good stretch of river, very peaceful and clear so had to be super quiet . difficult with my 10 year old boy in tow..

the river was the only option, they have 3 newly refurbished lakes, 2 now joined in the middle, new swims and platforms but all still frozen solid...

he put up a good fight and weighed in at about 8lbs
