| No pike on the Staffs Worcester. Well had a couple of hours on the Staffs Worcester canal after Pike near Stewponey (BAA stretch). Blanked trying out a few plugs lures and jelly jobies. Guess it was cold. Bought a digital thermometer as I'd be interested to see how weather and water is affecting which species I blank on. Water was 6.3 degrees C. Down 2 whole degrees on the Salwarpe last week (three perch and a roach, not a great day) or the Severn a month ago that was a barmy 12 degrees (and I blanked). I am going to give pike a real go this year as I think that other than roach or chub they are all that will feed if we have a winter like last years. ![]() __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk |
