| 3 Missions Accomplished With 1 Fish Myself And Cindy Both Set Off To Our Local Club Water (Crockerton) With Cindy Having 3 Goals In Mind For The Day. 1. Her First Crockerton Carp. 2. Her First Ever Double Figured Carp. 3. A New Personnal Best. As The Weather Report Said On Monday Afternoon, It Was Meant To Be Hot And Sunny All Day, Well With This Being Wiltshire It Wasnt. It Was Cloudy, Windy And Cold. We Decided On Peg 2 As On Sunday We Witnessed Someone Very Kindly Spodding In Enough Bait To Keep The Swim Topped Up For A Week And Thought We Would Take Advantage Of That Fact. Cindy Had Two Rods Set Up, Both With 18mm Mainline Cell Bollies. One Fished At Range Towards Peg 20 Near The Bridge And One Straight Out In Front Fished About 3 Rods Lengths Out. I Used Just The One Rod Using Double 14mm Tiger Nut Bollies Fished To The Left Of The Swim About 3 Rods Lengths Out. Cindy Had A Run About An Hour Into The Session. It Took Line And Headed For The Bridge. She Managed To Turn It And Then It Headed For What Most People Call The Xmas Tree Between The Two Bridges. She Stopped It From Getting Into The Snag And Got The Fish Into Open Water. She Had The Fish Tired And About 10-12ft From The Bank. We Got To See The Fish It Was About 12.13lb, A Typical Dark Colored Crockerton Mirror. Just As We Both Thought The Fish Was Ready For Netting It Shot Off Again And Managed To Snap Clean The 10lb Braided Hook Length. The Language That Followed The Break Cannot Be Repeated. But The Dissapoint On Her Face Said It All. About 13.30 We Were Talking About Packing Up To Make Our Way Home When All Of A Sudden One Of Her Rods Went Off Again. This Time She Was More Confident That She Would Land This Fish As I Had Changed Her Rigs Over To Florocarbon Hook Length Instead Of Braid. I Knew This Fish Was Going To Be Her New PB From The Way It Was Fighting. After About 20 Mins Cindy Landed The Fish. A Fin Perfect Common Weighing In At 14lb 6oz. HER FIRST CROCKERTON CARP HER FIRST DOUBLE HER NEW PB Her 3 Missions For The Day Accomplished With One Fish. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Simon N And Cindy |
