Me and Dave went down to sandwich lakes again.
I wasn't 100% on going as a i blanked last two times

But I thought my time may come.

I set up after a bacon roll from the lodge.
My set up was halibut ground bait with a pop up
And a basic float set up so I can roach bash.

I was fishing not far from my board near a weed patch with the float
With my pop up near the reeds at the far bank

I was using maggots on my float so i was catch roach and perch and i had one gudgeon.

Then my line shot off and this 5lb Carp came out

I have never had a Carp take maggot before so i stuck with the maggot
And about half hour later I had a another bite and this 7lb Carp came out

I was really pleased with the results so far.
I decided to go to sweetcorn as the tiddlers were obviously going for the maggots and I was catching loads of them.

I was loose feeding regularly, with one grain of corn on my hook

not long after the change over from maggot to Corn

I caught this 3lb Carp

I was really pleased with this.

I stuck it straight back to the same spot feeding regularly.
And just when the rain came down and we was thinking of packing up

I caught this 4lb Carp

So all in all a very productive day.
Still after beating my PB

Time will come
