swanborough lakes again today!

So, back to my old haunt Swanborough farm fishing lakes, east sussex.
Arrived half six just as the gates open, drive right past the tench lake (already filling up with anglers) and drive right past the carp boys getting the usual stare as i drive past lol...and park up at decoy lake, im the only one there, perfect! , in my opinion the best of them all, i have always wondered why this lake is so overlooked??!!?!?
Ok, im after the BIG chub!
had a feeder out on lunchen meat to my left and a float set up on sweetcorn in front of me.

small roach to start with then sizeable skimmers, roach and skimmers mainly all day, a mentionable 2lb roach, a few small perch and three bream 3lb, 3lb and 4lb.

After about an hour i had the first pull on the feeder rod, typical chub bite, but missed this one. Another half hour and wham the rod goes flying round, me thinking yes a chub! but after 7seconds the fight was up, note: not a chub, so i carefully land a nice big bream of 6lb.
Another hour passed, i get some big taps, the wham it goes round like a bugatti veyron! This feels like a chub for the 5 seconds i played it, unfortunately the fish just buried itself in the bullrushes and im now stuck in there tightly, cant feel the fish. eventually got free, but no fish.
Next bite was a hard pounding round, and knowing what the last one did i quickly steered this to the middle of my swim, good fight, and rewarded with a 5lb tench! a tench?? i dont think even the greenwoods know there are tench in this pool! lol.
I now have my doubts about the other bites i had now, were they tench or bream, where are the chub??
Another few small tugs but no other fish today on the feeder.

A good days fishing had at decoy lake, and to my surprise another fish (thats 9 species) in this lake that not many people know are there.
