| River Culm later today My girlfriend was very kind and asked if i wanted to go out fishing with my dad today as shes gos lots of thins she wants to do, basically she wants me out of the way! So me and dad are going to have a short session on the river culm this afternoon. Im a bit stuck as to what to do, may do a bit of trotting or maybe just get my quiver tip out and leger a slug or something for some chub. Heres hoping! | Re: River Culm later today Have just got back from the river and am surprisingly dry, the sun even came out for a while!! Decided to use the stick float with my old edgar sealey cane rod and small centrepin with 2lb line and a 16 hook. Using double maggot me and my dad managed to catch two chub, both at about the pound and a half mark, and some nice perch . For the last half hour we moved swims a bit further up and had some cracking fun catching roach on a long run. Nothing massive but boy the bites were like lightning, missed more than we connected with but was great fun. What a cracking short session!!! Is nice when you have a session off the cuff and you catch a few fish. Just what the doctor ordered! __________________ Glory glory Bolton Wanderers! |
