| Two PB's in the same day After a weeks worth of on and off rain I thought I would go and give the river a try with my brother jake. His gear was in a state so I said we could take it in turns on my two rods. Arrived to find the water still very low but I thought I would give it a try anyway. Both rods fished with 4oz feeders with hemp, pellet and ground bait filling. Got a run at around 15:00. As soon as I hit into it I could tell from the effort it was a bream although it did put up a bit of a scrap. Landed it and it weighed 8lb on the dot meaning a new PB !  All was quiet so I decided to recce another peg for possible future sessions. I left Jake with the rods and off I went. About ten minutes later I heard him shouting and whistling so I knew he was in. I began to leg it down the bank nearly losing my trainer in the process. Got to him and began talking him through landing it, anyway, after a decent scrap I scooped the net under a 7lb 4oz barbel, a PB for Jake. He was chuffed and surprised how hard it fought and I just laughed. His previous barbel was only a baby at around 2 lb.  After that the conditions started looking great but unfortunately I had to go home. but Im having a night on there next week so hopefully a report to follow.  __________________ Species 2011..
