Punching Heavy Cover with Jigs

Went out this past weekend to try to get some topwater Hatcam action. The topwater bite wasn't as good as we were hoping, with many of the fish just coming out and hitting the frogs without really taking them down. The fish were there, so I decided to punch through the cover with a 3/4 oz football jig with a Yum money craw trailer. The decision turned out to be a good one and I ending up sticking some good bass. This is a really fun and effective technique I'm just starting to use. I'm sure the more I do it the better I'll get. It's just hard to believe you can actually stick fish doing it! Here's the video:
