Trent side stud

Not sure why Im reporting here as I had a big fat blank but I havnt done one for a while so here goes...

I arrived at the bank around 12 oclock this after noon to find my fishing patrner sitting there with a nice sun burnt head, we had a quick chat and he told me hed had a 5lb bream about 7.30 am but not a bite since.

I started eyeing my swim up and didnt feel confident as the water was the lowest Ive seen it and it was gin clear. Still ! I set up and chucked out my two carp rods both on feeder filled with hemp, pellets and ground bait.

After about 4 hours and umpteen bait changes nothing was happening, this was when I saw around 5 ponys chomping on some grass on the other side of the fence.
Being bored as hell we reeled in and began to feed the horses with a box of strawberries id brought to experiment with as a bait.
They were happily eating the strawberries when this great stud galloped over and started hooving the fence, it was then we realised all the other horses were mares and he was the stud!
He must av been jealous as he was hoofing the cr#p out of the fence, and just to prove a point he mounted one of the mares and began some horsey loving !!
All we could do was laugh and we saw some match guys further up river giggling there hats off.
when he realised we weren't after his ladies he started chomping the rest of the strawberries.
Any way, didnt get any bites but I reckon it wouldve picked up after dark.
off there again next week for an overnighter so fingers crossed.
