| Satruday Nordley 4 for Tench. A very quick report full of action NOT! Deliberately set about looking in this lake to see of there were any tench about. Found a corner swim where the water was shallow. Some trees poked in the water and it looked OK. Put one rod out with the carp bait on , well away from the tench swim. Used a very sensitive float (one of them poundland ones with the broom bristle) and decided to sit and wait. Tench seem to have a habit of cruising around where I come from so I set "the trap" and waited. And waited. Well neither rod moved till about two hours in the bristle shot under and the culprit was .,.... a bream about two pounds. And that dear readers was it. Bait for tench was sweet sweetcorn (I think that's what the bream came for ) and fed corn and hemp (with added scopex). Carp bait was a home made scopex boilie. No photos as my dear wife has bu@@ered off to Nick R land with the girls and left me sulking, working and listening out for the standby phone all week. Ah well , next week I am not on standby and Himley hall she beckons. __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk |
