| Secret Pond Session Part 1/3 As i got out of work early, all was quiet at home! So it was my opportunity to get a few more points on the board from my dad's pond while he was away! So i lifted up the net and hung it over a garden chair so as to get at the water, the only reason the net is on it is because of the bloody heron! ![]() ![]() Armed with a spool of 2lb line and a size 18 hook Rudd was the order of the day! I baited up with a dendrobaena worm and periodically loosefed them aswell to tempt this small rudd, was the smallest one in the pond unfortunately, but its points all the same ![]() ![]() The next two 'sessions' on it are to get Koi Carp and Goldfish! i might need a rod for the carp mind you , i will manage something. ![]() Cheers Justin __________________ Blackwater Tackle Supplies Keep Ulster's Waters Healthy, Practice Catch and Release! |

| Re: Secret Pond Session Part 1/3 reminds me of the Golden Maggot on tv back in the 80's when Jim Gibbinson (I think it was him) and his partner caught a pirrahna with monkeys swinging in the trees behind him because he was fishing in a zoo pond in southern England __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now) |

| Re: Secret Pond Session Part 1/3 I was tempted to try for a few mackerel today, but then I saw some bloke who recommended going for the bass. I got the rod out and began to cast. The next thing I knew I was being dragged out of morrisons fish bar by two men in white coats. strange ... __________________ Species 2011.. | Re: Secret Pond Session Part 1/3 I sooo want to say that is underhanded and I just know that if I had a pond in my garden I would have done just the same. Cider, lager, beer or Guinness was it ? :) __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk |

| Re: Secret Pond Session Part 1/3 LOL! - Genius. ![]() I've quite often eyed up the monster Bass at the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, but getting two 6 1/2' rod sections past the front desk has so far proved quite tricky. I reckon it's gonna have to be a telescopic rod if I'm gonna get away with it! ![]() __________________ Right then, checklist: Rods. Check. Reels. Check. Speckled Hen. Check. Bait…… BAIT!
