Mulbarton 24hr Session

Well the day started fairly miserable when i arrived the heavens opened for about 20 minutes so just sat in car and waited for it to blow over.

As soon as there was a chance to get a rod out i was on it, got set up around 6pm and the rods were the first thing out of the car. Just got both rods in took 2 steps back to the car and one alarm started beeping and line was steadily coming off the reel. 2lb bream on the bank within seconds and it couldnt be arsed to fight lol.

No more fish for an hour or so, decided to change from robin reds to halibut see if the extra smell would spur on a bite. Indeed it did only a small carp of 3lb but a fish none the less. No more for rest of eve must have been put off by my egg sarnies i reckon lol.

2am came with a screamer of a take another 3lb carp on the bank, rod back out and back on the bivvy.

No more tillafter breakfast around 8am with a 4.5lb bream picture was from my phone propped up on chair so not the best.

Noon came and went with no more, so i decided to bring one rod in and leave a sleeper rod out and get my feeder rod out, this was a good move with 6 more bream falling to my tried and test groundbait with strawberry pellet on hook.

4pm and was thinking about a final chuck for the sleeper rod to see if i could get one more before i left. single hookbait cut in half and put on hair back to front for bit of variety with a small pva stick on hook. Put this rod as tight to the island as i could get hoping for a patrolling carp to pick it up. 15 minutes later and a 16lb mirror was caught after a 15 minute battle to and from lillys.

Then packed up and off home all in all good session looking forward to going monday again try and get out one of their upper 20's ghosties would be nice
