Whew , what a day !!

Ignoring all the weather warnings I decided to have a day on the river Trent today. Being my usual organised self I realised I didnt have any feeders large enough to hold the bottom so I had an attempt at making my own. After Some bird wire, duct tape and cut fingers I produced this beast,


Arrived at my favourite peg around 07:00 had a quick brew and started to set up. the weather was ok but I could see the clouds rolling in, and oh did they look menacing.
Chucked my first rod out with the homemade feeder and before I could set the other one up I had a run and landed this 6lb bream


The weather started to take a turn for the worse and I sat slightly nervous under my brolly sytem, At one point I thought it was going to take off so I added a few more pegs and started praying lol.
I went on to catch a 2 1/2lb chub, and another 6lb.10oz bream
.
The weather worsened even more and I had visions of getting struck by lightning so I decided to call it a day. No barbel or carp but I was still happy with haul.

nice one mate, some nice fish there, and homemade feeder lol ,shame about the weather. So while i was litter-picking all day you was fishing lucky for some lol

i was helping to fix a footbridge on a stretch of the witham today aswell,it looked right nice , wish i brought a rod with me.

Yeah , Community service can be quite an inconvenience lol ....damn magistrates
