12th July Night Session After the previous night fishing and catching the surprise eel it was in fact our target species tonight. I'm shattered from last night cause we were getting 'plagued' by pike, i say plagued but they were still great fun, so here are the pictures and i will let them do the talking!! ![]() ![]() First Pike of the session ![]() Dusk ![]() Eel ![]() This is what happens when you play with the alarms when your fishing partner is sleeping he was raging i woke him up!!![]() Action shot ![]() ![]() Best set of teeth i have ever seen on a pike, almost like a tigerfish! ![]() On top of these pics we had about 5 more pike, no more eels unfortunately but we did miss a few runs on the worm baits for them so thats our own fault! __________________ Blackwater Tackle Supplies Keep Ulster's Waters Healthy, Practice Catch and Release!

Re: 12th July Night Session Great report. It's surprising how many anglers think that you can only catch pike during daylight. well done. ![]() __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now)

Re: 12th July Night Session well done again justin! i cant stand eels myself.. but one guy i knew years back used to specialise in eels and he always said there is 2 different types of silver eels..... (he had special names for them) but they have different shaped mouths... one will eat things like worms shrimps ect and be a scavenger.... the other will be a hunter and will eat small fish like roach ect .. and the trick to catching them in your lake is finding out which type of eels you have now wether or not what he says is true i dunno....but i do recall him holding some 7 and 8lb slimey things ![]() __________________ fishing for fish is not as simple as you may think!
