Two day sessions

My dad had some days off work so decided to go fishing.

Me being skint decided to take advantage of our clubs exchange tickets and decided to give lodden lake ago on wensday after haveing a walk round the lake the week before.

Dad picked me up at 6.30am got to the lake at 8am to find it empty. We decided to fish the biger of the two lakes the match lake.
We set up middle of the lake between the two lakes.
I set up 1 carp rod and 1 waggler. I cast to a courner of an island with the carp rod.
I fished the waggler to my left along the margin covered in reeds i used sweetcorn on the hook. I baited with corn and groundbait. Was hopeing to catch a still water chub,f1 carp a crucian or if i was very lucky a grass carp. After about 2 hours i got my first bite on the float i connected with it shot stright into the reeds i managed to get it out and land it was a nice 4lb tench.
Not long after i had another take this time a bream of around 4lb put up a great fight on light tackle. Was finding it hard to get a bit. So brought my rods in and had a walk round found 1 swim with some small carp sunning them selfs. On the smaller lake the carp lake spotted a few groups of larger carp so graped my rod,mat met and bag of mixers. Took about an hour to get them takeing mixers confadently so cast out beond them and brought it back over them after about 40mins managed to hook into land a nice low double common. After returning it tryed again but i spoked them. So moved round to another group in a diffrent swim fired out some mixers and they only took the odd one or two cast out after 20mins or so they went. Went back to my first swim this time was catching small roach and skimmer bream. At about 5pm a had a take on my carp rod lifted into nothing. Carryed on catching roach and skimmers we called a day at 8pm.

Session 2 was on crookwood lake dad picked me up at 6.30am thursday morning and was at the lake and setup by 8am this time i set up just a float and fished next to some lillys. Was useing meat,corn and maggots and some groundbait.
I started catching very small roach of a few oz.
Changed to meat and corn with nothing change back to maggots had some more roach then i had something that took me into the lillys and i lost it. Not long after i hooked into and landed my first ever brown goldfish of 2lb yay some points for the spiecis hunt (pic on my blog. Will put it on here when i can get on the pc). Carryed on catching more small roach. At 11am i had a walk round the lake and everyone was catching small stuff. Fished till 12ish then packed up and went over to crockerton as thought we would do better. Was at crockerton by about 1ish to find simon there so had a chat. The lake was busy so i went into peg 6 and dad in peg 5. I set up 2 carp rods to start with then changed over to the float catching roach an perch fished till 6.30pm then helped with some lake maintence. After that could it a day.
