crockerton

Grab a couple of hours after the carp at crocks this afternoon without much luck but then it was only 2hrs. Did see one of the larger residents put in an appearnace the guy next to me did battle with a common on the pole. The battle went on for a while several run tested the elastic to the limit and one heart stopping moment with the pole in the air the elastic became entagled in the tree. First attempt at netting the fish it was decided by this guys mate that the net was too small, not a prob i grab my net all 50" of net.
This fish was putting up a great fight on light tackle keeping deep hardly putting in an appearance on the surface even when netted, with this chap now stood up with 10m of pole in the air the elastic stretch all the way back down he retreated up the bank keeping an eye on the line i managed to net the fish first time without seeing it just let it swim into the net think having the large net made it possible.

So a well done to that man especially in peg seven not the easiest peg to play a big fish. 17lb 4oz on the scales.

Packed up not long after this and headed home on returning home the high street in the village was alive with May flies think they thought the road was a river. Manange this pic on the car windscreen.

Re: crockerton

Unlucky on the carp, but atleast you got to see that one being landed.

Re: crockerton

Unlucky Lee On Your Outing. But Its Good To See Some Great Fish Coming Out Of Crockerton. Well Done Ray. Cant Of Been The Easiest Fish To Land On The Pole, Especially Out Of Peg 7.
