| 24hrs at Bakers... personal best smashed Arrived at bakers pond near hull for a 24 hour session yesterday, I decided to put two rods out ,one with pva bag filled with crushed boileys and another using the method feeder to a nearby willow tree. I didn't have a bite all day on either even though I changed baits and tactics many times. I re-baited my rods at around 11pm ( both pva bags with hook-bait flat to the bottom) and got in my bivvy for the night. I was awoken with a screaming run at around 3 am and after a ten minute or so fight I landed a 20lb 12 oz common, My previous PB was around 8lbs so needless to say I was chuffed. What was even better was my mate had been giving me stick all evening because hed caught the only fish of the day, a 3 lb tench. I was shaking when I put her on the mat because Ive been after a decent carp for ages.  __________________ Species 2011..
