Ladye Bay - she don't wanna play !

After driving through every village in Somerset and nearly 2 and a half hours later i arrives at Olivers tackle in Clevedon to pick up my bait - some of the finest quality fresh Devon peelers , some large frozen sandeels (amazingly slate grey so 100% tip top ) plus a pack of blueys..
Heading over to Lady Bay i fished the first hour and a half of the flood from the ledges - here is the view -

just for the wildlife buffs - i know you look for my threads lol - here is the scrawniest seagull i've ever seen ( o.k its a young pheseant that was up on the ledge behing me pondering suicide i think )



Well from arriving at around 4pm untill climbing off the ledge due to the tide dropping 10 metres at around 10.30 pmi had not even had a single bite - nada,nothing !

for safety reasons and simply not wanting to give up i decided to head down into the bay and fish over the low water - what a ruddy carry on - mud up to my shins , tackle,bags,clothing - everything covered in Brizzol mud ( which ive just finished cleaning off half my kit - the bath is now manky )

All i managed was to find 5 or 6 shockleaders with full rigs attatched to boulders and a few bait robbing monster crabs - not a single sniff and baits coming back intact

Well , after pondering my next move - the pier don't open till 10 am i decided to begrudgingly walk back to the car to find my passenger door looking suspiciously open slightly - lifted the handle to find it unlocked and the head unit off my stereo sat in the passenger seat along with the facia - the drivers side was also unlocked and the interior light switched off ..
either the twats gave up trying to get the unit out or were rumbled and ran off ( all this no more than 100 metres from where i fished ) ..
Needless to say i am sat here writing this thread with a heavy heart and real disappointment that i couldnt produce the goods !

on a lighter note , some of you may recognise this mass expanse of water i drove past - an amazing view ( was it chew ? somewhere near it anyway )

Well done mate, good effort. Unlucky about the car, hope it isn't too bad to get sorted. Not sure if that is Chew or not. Only fished it a couple of times. Massive body of water.

Better luck next time mate. I think the photo of the lake is probably Blagdon. Great trout water.

Chew is behind it , now looking at the map its called Blagdon Lake - the photo was taken from the side of the Bath road..with regards the stereo - i simply pushed the fascia back on and clipped the front back on - and it works fine - i would rather they had taken that than my beach buddy
