| its gone pingu put it nicely recently," my mojo has gone " ,i seem to have gone down the same road, i set out early this morning for a day on one of my club lakes with species hunt points the order of the day, i got settled into my swim by 0600 , i put a couple of boilies out in likely looking spots as sleepers, the main hope for points was the maggot feeder which has always worked very well for me here, try as i might i could not get a single bite, i felt i was flogging a dead horse so a move was in order, my clubs match lake is only just up the road so i moved i float fished for an hour or two getting roach,rudd and perch for the hunt,but i didnt enjoy it one bit, 2lb line on my float gear is just too fine for my old eyes to see,i just couldn't concentrate at all , i dont know if this is a sign of me getting too old for all this or not but its becoming more and more of a chore to go fishing, perhaps i am best suited to sitting behind buzzers or maybe in in front of the tv     |

| Re: its gone I blame all the volcanic ash, it is putting the fish off the feed!!! Seriously Paul, we all have bad patches, and everyone is struggling on the medium to hard waters right now, only the stuffed full ponds are showing anything. give it a couple of weeks to warm up and the spawning to finish and they will be back. | Re: its gone I took last year out from fishing and it did me the world of good. I still need dragging out from time to time but I always enjoy my time on the bank. I find fishing with mates is the only way to go these days too. It's all about getting out and having a laugh now, lifes too short! |
