like ages! first mission was spent over an hour trying to re,amass my gear from the clutter of the understairs cupbourd and the shed! not easy and most frustrating as every other family member just dumps the junk on top of it so it no easy task! still failing to find my cherrished rig bag! you know the one that has been painstakingly and not to forget expensively filled with all my bits, lead putty, leadcore, hook length (soo many spools of braid) braid scissors, nut drills, needdles
plastic corn,rig stops,boily stops, wagglers, shot, too many hook sizes to mention spare bats for just about everything, so atleast the tackle shop is gana have a pretty good morning oh not forgetting new landing net as my spacing block has gone awol aswell

apart from having to be a little lighter in the pocket department, thats all systems go! should be alright if this wind decides which way its gana blow!
hopfully have one or 2 doubles out for yah failing that a good bag of alsorts! wish me luck!

my mate a bit of a noob so only seem fare i get him on one of my carp rods, gana desert that
and take on a bit off silver bashing plenty, of nice perch in ther so be a good excuse to have a go at em!
(oh bloody keep net forgot about need that as he wants a lil comp! the poor misguide fool lol)

well what can i say! get to my local tackle shop first thing and ther just about out of everything carp terminal gear, tho managed to glean some info concerning the lake and things arnt good! im told the place has a big old dose of carp flew, a forboding face that has sold me bits and bobs since i was 11 tells me this is not good and will maybe take 10 years to sort! whatever dip our nets on the way out f**k on the way in!
well im on it now, and a quick phone call tells me my mate and his young son are already in the carpark of the lake and waiting on me.Get ther and take the pair into the onsite tackle shop for the usual warm welcome!
nope! new faces and bloody rude with it! i ask if they have any leadcore, im told "oh no! non of the blokes use it here ther dont need it! its got a flat bottom! what do you want that for? (biting my tongue here)
ok have you got a cheapy keepnet? we have but im not selling you one! we now only allow keepnets for matches becouse they transport disease! (1 id be buying a new keepnet free of virus 2 it would more than likely be the bloody matchmen that brought it in) anyway mone over and long story short, get to the lake and its pretty mutch being blown to bits NW,NE,NW,W so arfter a few hours we jack it in and head to a more sheltered smaller lake on the site! finaly i get them into the fish with the lad catching lots of silver on the whip and my mate landing 2 carp best being about 6lb and loosing 3 more!
whole thing was a bit of a mare really but mission done, mate and his kid ar now bang into it and have a rough idea what ther doing, tho wont be going back to the lake, and im afraid me neither,s shame as ive been fishing it on and off since i was a kid myself! arr well world changes and life moves on ;-]
