| tirley again :P well i went to tirley again on thursday and fished in the same peg as before. by about 12 i had a couple of carp upto about 11lb and lost 2 aswell so was going ok but i knew i should of been catching more!  the water i was fishing was quite deep and as the sun was out and warm at that so i wondered if the carp were in the shallow end and took a walk down to the shallows. i stood there for about 5 minutes and instantly saw carp jumping, fizzing and tails wafting about!! a move was defintly on the cards! within 20 minutes i was in the new swim and the right hand rod was positioned right where i saw the carp and tore off within minutes. after that the action was crazy and i ran out of bags and bag mix within hours!!  altogether i had 10 carp up to 19lb and lost four and my mate had 2 and lost 2 also. overall was a great day but unfortunately was put on a downer from the bailiff! believe it or not she told us off for moving and said "no one else moves so why should you" and i replied "because this is where the fish are" she replied "well it doesnt matter cos the fish swim round in circles!!!"  when she left i couldnt believe what she just said and how someone who owns and "manages" a lake can be so naive about fish behavior!!!   i still enjoyed the day though and is always a great confidence booster.   19lb! biggest of the session   solid bag of allsorts which was blended the night before! pukka! __________________ ><((((*> fish to live, live to fish!! ><((((*> please join my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Burley...5223465?ref=ts     |

She is very famous for her outbursts and strange ideas but it's best to go along with her as her bite is alot worse than her bark  __________________ Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.  Re: tirley again :P Quality fish mate. Looks like I'll be back down tirley this spring. As for the Tirley witch there is a list of rules as long as the M5 she likes to enforce! A good way to get on her good side is get a bag of rubbish and say you just had a walk round and collected all of it off her lake, you'll be a hero. She also likes to see people using corn, so i usually tie a rig up with a size 16 hook and a piece of corn and ask her if its ok to use when she comes round. Might sound like a kiss ass but its much better to have her on your side then not, especially when you see her walking round with that 12 bore shotgun!...  Or you could do what three gypsys did to her a couple summers back and throw her in... __________________ www.thecarpden.co.uk |
